SUZANNA STEFOGLO

Nurse Practitioner

Hello! I am Suzanna Myalik Stefoglo! I received my Master’s Degree through the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute of Utica, NY, where I also earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Prior to that I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse, RN) from Mohawk Valley Community College of Utica, NY. I hold my national board certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and am a member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). I was born and raised in central New York State surrounded by a wonderful and culturally diverse population, my loving family, and endless opportunities to explore the Adirondack outdoors. From here come my hobbies of spending time outdoors in every way possible from hiking and biking to gardening. In my free time if I am not outdoors, you can almost always find me working on one crafty endeavor or another, and it’s a guarantee you will find a started knitting project at any time. In July of 2016 I married my husband and relocated to his home city- Charlotte, NC. Together we started our family roots here in the Carolina’s and have two sons.

Through my career transformations from a hospital based RN to a clinic based FNP, I have seen many patients with chronic and acute illnesses. Many patients would keep cycling through the healthcare system with the same problem repeatedly, not getting better but often getting worse. My encounters and desire to help these patients get better, led me to developing my own philosophy of nursing which rests in assisting patients and families in returning to and maintaining optimal independent functioning through a holistic care approach, and integrative medicine helps me accomplish exactly that!

The path to independence for you begins from our very first encounter here at Rising Integrative Healthcare, which will set the foundation and the course of the provider-patient relationship towards healthy independence and living life on your own terms. The foundation of our interactions consists of education, as it is paramount for you as the patient to know what is happening, what you can do to help, and what is being done to help aid in your recovery. With each step of our interactions, we will strive to make attaining healthy independent functioning a possibility for you so that you can: (1.) Be as independent as possible, (2.) Function at an optimal level of health, (3.) Reduce the possibility of complications or hospitalization. My personal approach and philosophy is more than getting you well, it is about keeping you well!
